Connecting with your inner self

Our inner self, also known as the true self, is the part of us that is unchanging and core to our identity. It is often associated with the soul, and is thought to be the source of our personal values, beliefs, and sense of purpose. The inner self is often considered to be separate from the external self, which is shaped by external factors such as socialization and experiences. We may connect with our inner selves through reflection, introspection, or other practices that help us understand our true selves and live in alignment with our values and beliefs.

Alchemy is an ancient practice that has its roots in ancient Egypt. At its core, alchemy is all about transformation – turning base metals into gold, and in a spiritual sense, transforming the Self and achieving spiritual enlightenmentBut what does that have to do with reconnecting with our inner selves? Well, alchemy is all about the process of personal transformation, and it can provide a framework for understanding how to reconnect with our inner selves. The alchemical process is said to involve the transformation of the leaden, base aspects of the self into the golden, enlightened aspects of the self.

One of the key aspects of alchemy is introspection. We use the metaphor of the transformation of base metals into gold to represent the process of personal transformation. By looking inside ourselves, we can gain a deeper understanding of our inner selves and the forces that shape our personalities.

Alchemy is also associated with the use of symbols and archetypes, which can be used as a way to access and understand the unconscious mind. We use these symbols and archetypes in Alchemical Hypnotherapy to explore and examine the deeper aspects of ourselves. This can help us gain a deeper understanding of our inner selves and the forces that shape our personalities and behaviours.

The alchemical process involves several stages, including purification, separation, and conjunction, which can be understood as stages of personal development. Each stage represents a step in the journey of self-discovery and self-improvement, which can help us reconnect with our inner selves.

One of the key principles of alchemy is the idea of purification. In alchemy, the alchemist must purify the base metal before it can be transformed into gold. In the same way, we must purify ourselves before we can reconnect with our inner selves. This means getting rid of anything that doesn’t serve us, like negative thoughts, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs. Alchemical hypnotherapy is very effective at clearing our inner negative influences, especially those we don’t know we even have!

Another important principle of alchemy is separation. This is the process of separating the different components of the base metal. In personal development, it means separating the different aspects of ourselves and understanding which parts of ourselves we want to keep and which we want to let go of.

The final step in alchemy is conjunction, which is the process of bringing the purified and separated components together to create what’s known as the ‘philosopher’s stone’. In personal development, this is the process of bringing all the different aspects of ourselves together to create a more holistic and balanced self.
